Shoppers will recognize fine stores like Kate Spade New York and Michael Kors. Original Kansas City stores like Baldwin KC and Tivol are local contributions to the Plaza’s reputation as a national fashion center. Pleasant surprises can be found along each block – from quaint boutiques to delicious chocolatiers, couture clothiers, stylish salons and fine jewelry.

 

Contemporary American to Kansas City steaks, authentic Italian to cosmopolitan burgers are all part of the Plaza experience.  The Plaza’s restaurants offer an atmosphere that no other district can duplicate.

Join us Wednesday night for the opening reception at the American Jazz Museum on 18th & Vine.  This historic district, once known as the “cradle of jazz”, has hosted musicians such as Charlie Parker and Count Basie.  You will be able to tour the interactive jazz exhibits as well as the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. Kick back and network to live jazz & blues in the Blue Room, which is designed to resemble a 1930’s nightclub.  You will find artifacts, collections and displays everywhere you look.  We will have drinks and BBQ appetizers available so you can really experience the Kansas City Jazz scene. Check out this video “A Night At The American Jazz Museum” for a taste of what’s to come.
